Oakmoor operates a very successful House system which consists of four houses, each with six registration groups.  The registration groups are organised using a vertical system of mixed age groups and consist of students from each Year Group, 7 to 11.  This organisation promotes mature, responsible and caring attitudes among all of our students.  Students of all ages are encouraged to act as role models for each other and are provided with many opportunities to take on roles of responsibility.

The House system increases a sense of belonging and identity for the students and provides a focus for healthy competition in the school.  Each House is led by an Academic and Pastoral Leader who ensures that the House has a positive ethos and individual identity.  The Academic and Pastoral Leaders have oversight of the progress and welfare of every child in their House.
