Please call 01420 472132 and select option 1 by 9am when your child is sick, and provide daily health updates after that.

Parents must call the school for every day of absence.

If you leave a message you must state the following information:

1. Your name.
2. The name of the child who will be absent (or late).
3. The child’s Class.
4. The reason for absence must be specific and descriptive.

When describing your child's health, we ask that you avoid using vague terms such as 'unwell,' 'poorly,' or 'sick.'

If your child is absent and a reason is not provided, our Attendance Officer along with other staff members will follow up with phone calls to check on your child and understand the reason for the absence.

If, after multiple phone call attempts, we remain unable to establish a reason for the absence. We will conduct a home visit to check on your child's health and safety. Please know these measures are taken in line with our safeguarding responsibilities.

We kindly ask that you notify us of any upcoming absences or illnesses as early as possible. Clear communication will help avoid unnecessary phone calls or visits from our staff. We greatly appreciate your partnership in ensuring your child attends school regularly. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Thank you for your understanding.
