What happens when a pupil is late?

• Before the register has closed, they will be marked as late and set a detention to make up the time missed.

• After the register has closed, they will be marked as absent, using the U code. This is an unauthorised absence code and therefore is recorded as unauthorised absence. 10 sessions of unauthorised absence can lead to a referral being made to Hampshire Legal Intervention Team .
